Focus music with a real pulse.

Inside every soundscape runs the Undertow — a slow pull that rises and falls, with one dial for how deep it pulls. Every session you finish leaves a mark you keep. There is no account.

The dive

Not a playlist. A place you go.

Pick what you're facing, press play — nothing else to learn. The soundscapes are composed fields of wordless sound, built to hold attention rather than demand it.

01 · Descend

Hold to begin

A session starts with a held button and a four-second breath that settles you in. No accidental starts, no autoplay.

02 · Stay under

The water holds

Steady, wordless sound for as long as you're under. When the timer ends but the flow hasn't, hold to ride the wave — the clock never cuts you off mid-thought.

03 · Surface

Hold to end

Surfacing is deliberate too — a hold, not a tap. Deep work doesn't end by accident, and every finished dive leaves its mark behind.

The Pulse · the namesake

The Undertow, on a dial.

A slow pull inside the sound, rising and falling many times a second. One dial sets how deep it pulls — live, mid-session, offline, on any track — from Still to the full Undertow.

You can see it

A real-time tap beats the orb's core with the music's bass. Mute the phone and the interface visibly falls asleep.

No borrowed science

Begin the Verdict, and the app tests the pulse on you: some dives play still — always disclosed — until the water reports whether the pulse helps your focus. Even if the answer is no.

Rhythms that breathe

Unbroken, Ripples, Waves, Deep and Tide — from one continuous dive to long descents with earned, breathing rests. On breaks, a guided sigh paces you, haptics included.

A FocusPulse session on iPhone: the orb inside its progress ring, a clock reading 1:55,
the track Faded Room, and a faded Hold to surface — the interface asleep mid-dive.
Under water

One screen. Nothing to manage.

No playlists to curate, no next-track anxiety, no feed to fall into. The orb descends as the session deepens; the clock counts what you actually held.

Lives in the Dynamic Island

Watch your orb descend right on the Lock Screen — pause, resume and ride the wave without opening the app.

Quick ways in

"Slip under with FocusPulse" starts your last ritual by voice. There's a Control Center button, a Lock Screen control, and a day summary that learns your usual hour.

Sigils

Every dive leaves a mark.

Finishing a session mints a generative sigil — a one-of-a-kind mark grown from the real shape of that dive: its length, its depth, its interruptions.

Duration sets the ring count, the session's own clock sets the waves, interruptions leave hairline gaps, and the outer ring closes only as far as you went. No streak guilt, no broken chains — absence is never punished. There is no account: the gallery of marks is the account.

FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

Do I need an account?

No. There is nothing to sign up for — no email, no password, no profile. Your session history and sigil gallery live on your phone and nowhere else.

What exactly is the Pulse?

A live modulation inside the sound — a slow pull that rises and falls many times a second, applied by the app itself rather than baked into the files. One dial sets its depth from Still to the full Undertow, and you can change it mid-session.

Is this binaural beats?

No. There are no binaural tracks in the catalog and no headphone requirement, and the app makes no scientific claims on your behalf. If you want evidence, begin the Verdict — the app will test the pulse on you and report honestly, even if the answer is no.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Offline packs store about an hour of sound per state, recently played tracks are cached automatically, and the Pulse is computed on the device — so it works in airplane mode.

How long is a session?

Five, fifteen, thirty or sixty minutes — or an open-ended dive with no horizon. Rhythms can layer breathing rests inside the longer depths, and breaks never count against your focus time.

Who makes the music?

We do — with generative AI tools under a commercial licence, and then a great deal of human work: writing the brief for each state, discarding most of what comes back, editing and sequencing what survives, and mastering the whole library to one level. No borrowed recordings, no imitations of named artists, no vocals. The full account is on The music.

Which devices does it run on?

iPhone, iOS 17 or later. There is no iPad, Watch or Mac version today.

The water is waiting.

Pick a state, hold to descend, and let the Undertow do the rest.
